What can you do? There is no simple fix and you (the reader) have to be proative and do something.
FUNDING THE BBC
It you live abroad and want to help the BBC buy a TV license.
If you live in the UK and can afford it buy a second licence. I have one and so has my wife. Mad but true!
If your childen are not living at home make sure they have a TV license and if not buy them one.
WRITING TO PEOPLE
Write to your MP asking them to support the BBC as a worthwhile institution, a national treasure and a public asset.
Take issue with goverment ministers when they run down the BBC. It can be done easily by email.
Keep an eye on news items in the news papers and elsewhere bashing the BBC. If appropraite contact the regularor and complain about bias and inaccuracy
